Více o knize
In 1934 Gerhard Domagk, professor at the University of Muenster since 1924 and head of the Institute for Experimental Pathology of the Bayer AG at Wuppertal-Elberfeld since 1928, discovered the healing effect of sulfonamides, the precedent of antibiotics. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1939 for this discovery. In 1943 he detected the first remedy against tuberculosis, a worldwide epidemic at that time. This book reviews his main accomplishments. Ekkehard Grundmann taught pathology at the University of Mnster (retired 1986) and was a friend of Gerhard Domagk.
