Providing an adequate description and evaluation of Schelling‹s thinking in his later years, between the completion and the overcoming of German idealism, continues to be a desideratum of research. Based on the basic concepts of »system – freedom – history,» international researchers on Schelling analyze the key lecture ‹Einleitung in die Philosophie‹ (Introduction to Philosophy) from 1830 (Schellingiana Band 1) within Schelling‹s way of thinking and within the history of philosophy and theology as a whole. This sheds new light on the development of the philosopher‹s teaching and thinking during his time in Munich.
