Behaviour of coastal landslide systems

Autoři

Více o knize

In recent years there have been significant advances in coastal landslide studies. In the UK hard learned lessons about the stability of relict inland landslides have now been applied to relict coastal slopes and attention has been paid to integrated ground modelling of both new and reactivated cliffs. The methodology has incorporated understanding of the extra dimensions required in the coastal context that includes knowledge of the contemporary shoreline processes as well as the context of long-term shoreline and coastal landform development. The paper includes explanations of the recession processes and the definition of cliff behaviour units. It concentrates on cliff behaviour over time and space, the implications of sea level rise and sea level change.
