When Andy Wathol immortalized Elvis' snazzy shoes and stage persona, silk-screening them onto a series of canvases, a new artistic era was born: the Pop Icon. Born in Leningrad in the same year as Woodstock and one year after the founding of Deep Purple, the artist Olga Stozhar is fascinated by the highly stylized mood of pop culture and, through her own work, seeks to understand how it works.
