Bridging diversity

Bridging diversity …is a beautifully presented and cogently organised resource for early childhood educators who wish to embed principles of respect for diversity and Froebelian principles into their curriculum. It is also a highly accessible resource for parents and policy makers who wish to understand the possibilities and practices for a holistic approach to early childhood curriculum. I particularly valued the exploratory questions identified alongside the key goals for the 'child in its world'. They invite professional reflection as a starting point for building curriculum and help to avoid curriculum being seen as a set of prescriptions that can be applied to young children. It is a refreshing, theoretically grounded contribution to international thinking about early childhood curriculum.
