Více o knize

Pressure vessels are ubiquitous in various industrial sectors, serving as essential components in factories worldwide. They are integral to critical industries such as nuclear, oil, petrochemical, and chemical sectors. International symposia regularly address issues related to pressure vessel verification, and there has been a dedicated ISO committee for design standards for many years. Additionally, the EU has a technical committee focused on this area, and all industrialized nations have established codes for pressure vessel design. However, while these codes may specify regulations for component thickness, they often do not cover all the challenges faced by designers. Some regulations, particularly in Italy, can be perplexing, as seen in the ISPESL regulations related to pressure vessels. Verifying the resistance of a pressure vessel is complex; what may seem like simple structural forms can be challenging to analyze, especially when applying modern verification criteria such as elastoplasticity and self-limiting stresses. Despite significant interest and efforts in this field, many issues remain inadequately studied, and there is a lack of consensus among scholars and regulatory bodies across different countries. Furthermore, economic factors and ongoing technical advancements continually introduce new challenges, including the need for innovative designs and minimizing component thickness.
