The WASAN project

They come from ten different nations. They support street kids, work against violence and pollution, or practice peace education in schools. They try to act in a more sustainable way and organize dialogues between heterogeneous and inter-religious groups. They know that in the age of globalization humanity can only achieve a more peaceful and sustainable world if as many people as possible act cooperatively. But where do we learn about cooperation? The WASAN Project offers the possibility to learn and practice cooperative behavior on a global level with young leaders from different backgrounds. It relies on the fact that cooperative behavior starts with the individual and can be learned in groups. Above all, cooperation can make us happy and lead to great results. This book reports on the pilot program of the WASAN Project in 2005 and 2006.
