The Hamburg artist Barbara Schmidt Heins draws upon the source of words circulating in everyday life, which in her works on paper are charged with multi-layered meanings. In her compositions, the mass-medial fragments of language receive autonomy and poetic depth. The formally reduced verbal ready-mades integrated in formally reduced architecturally constructive pictorial spaces act as catalysts for new interpretations in the minds of the recipients.
