The Kamba language is one of the great Bantu family of East Africa, south of the equator. The author found a population of ca. 80000 speakers, Robert Cust of the Church Missionary Society found a large number also in U-Sagara, Mamboia, who had migrated southward. alphabet, substantives, adjectives, class system, numerals, pronouns, verbs (Re-edition; originally published 1885 in London; written in English).
