The Frequency Dictionaries series aims to produce dictionaries with comparable frequency data across various languages. For many featured languages, this collection represents the first comprehensive compilation based on a large-scale empirical base, available in both print and electronic formats. Each dictionary lists the 1000 most frequent word forms by frequency and the 10,000 most frequent forms alphabetically. It includes an introductory description of the data and methodology, along with language-specific statistics on letters, word structure, and changes related to word frequency. The accompanying CD-ROM offers a more extensive e-book version, presenting data on the relative frequency of up to 1,000,000 word forms in alphabetical order. This series facilitates exploration of comparative linguistic topics and monolingual studies, such as word formation and frequency-based analyses for dictionaries or language teaching. For some languages, the lists may be shorter due to smaller corpus sizes. The Esperanto list for this volume contains 250,000 alphabetically ordered word forms. The frequency class list is also available as a plain text file on the CD, organized alphabetically and by frequency, allowing for easy generation of lists for various applications. The printed dictionary has been meticulously checked for errors, while the extensive CD list was verified using automated credibility criteria.
