The process of flue-induced incremental sheet metal forming with globally warmed plates is transferred to lightweight materials (such as magnesium and aluminum materials). This represents a significant step for the production of high quality lightweight sheet metal parts in small quantities. Especially components of aviation, energy (wind power plant fairing kit), the automotive industry (individual hoods and fenders) but also the luxury furniture industry, showing more and more individual products, smaller quantities and shorter product life cycles, can now be produced with modern production methods.
