Dietmar Seyffert was born 1943 in Liberêc (Sudetenland). He is a graduate of the world-famous Paluccaschule Dresden, Choreography in Theaterhochschule Leipzig, Psychology and Pedagogy of DHFK Leipzig, Aspirantur and Doktor-degree at Conservatory „ R. Korsakow“ Leninigrad (ehem. UdSSR). Continuous dancer, soloist, choreographer for 25 years at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin. Simultaneous 2 year choreography in chief in Cairo (Egypt) and continuos teaching choreography of the Theater-University Leipzig. From 1979-1988 simutaneously Art-Director and chefchoreographer at „Große Oper“ Leipzig. In 1987 Dietmar Seyffert became a professor of the University of Drama „ Ernst Busch“ in Berlin. As a stage director and choreographer he worked at many opera, drama and ballet stages of the world, partikularly, in Basel, Berlin, Belgrad, Paris, Vienna, San Francisco, New York, Mexico-City, New Dheli, Tokio, Kyoto ect. He was president (next after Juri Grigorowich) of the International-Theatre-Institut-UNESCO Paris and president of Dance-Section of National Theater Association. Dietmar Seyffert became major awards from different countrys and gold medals of national and international competitions. He has staged such ballets as „Bunny Tails“, „The rite of spring“, „Naked King“, „Human/Animal“, „Romeo and Julietta“, „La fille mal gardée“, „Les trois mousquetaires“. Dietmar Seyffert published a large number of scientific and reseach work. He worked also as Movie-Director and his „ Clown of God“ won the principal award at the Venice Dance Film Festival. Dietmar Seyffert lives in Berlin.
