Interaction: Chinese contemporary art in Nuremberg

The exhibition catalog „Interaction - Contemporary Chinese Art in Nuremberg“ is being published on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the regional partnership between Shenzhen and the Metropolitan Region Nuremberg. It succeeds the catalog „Confucius through the Eyes of the Artist“, which was issued for the 10th anniversary of the Confucius Institute Nuremberg-Erlangen in 2016. While the art project „Confucius through the Eyes of the Artist“ in the Ceremonial Hall of Nuremberg´s Historic Town Hall was devoted to the different interpretations of German and Chinese artists and the historical figure of Confucius, the current exhibition shows works by Chinese artists on contemporary topics in a Chinese as well as a global context. We live together in one world and share common concerns. Therefore, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence is so important.
