The main aim of this book is to analyse the broad spectrum of issues and problems in the recent foreign policy relations of both countries. The main framework of analysis focuses on the bilateral dimension of the relationship, but in cases where it is important, the broader EU dimension of Czech-German cooperation is taken into consideration as well. The approach of the book is analytical, which means a focus on empirical and politically relevant facts and their assessment. It does not mean a complete departure from a theoretical perspective, of course, but the role of theories and concepts the authors use is subordinated to prevailing analytical focus.
