Energetic Particles in the Heliosphere

Focusing on the acceleration of energetic particles in the heliosphere, this monograph compiles extensive data primarily from spacecraft operating near the ecliptic plane. It highlights the significance of recent findings, particularly with Voyager-1's entry into the interstellar medium, emphasizing the urgency of understanding these phenomena. Given the unlikely continuation of the Voyager program, the existing data on the outer heliosphere will remain largely unexpanded for decades, making this work a critical resource for future research in astrophysics.
