By addressing the limitations of conventional perturbative expansions, it enables accurate energy level calculations for shorter flux tubes, facilitating a quantitative comparison with lattice data. This advancement reveals strong evidence for a novel pseudoscalar particle, the worldsheet axion, and opens new avenues for understanding quark confinement dynamics.
