I am pleased to present a new edition of this book, originally published in 2005, which incorporates various suggestions and developments from the past decade. During this time, many new clarinet choirs have emerged globally, both in the cultural sector and as training ensembles. This growth highlights the clarinet choir's increasing popularity, establishing it as a permanent fixture in concert life across numerous countries. Through my concerts with the Austrian Clarinet Choir, I have encountered many new arrangements and original works, gaining inspiration and appreciating the rich possibilities this medium offers. The tonal palette of the clarinet choir, from the E flat clarinet to the Contrabass Clarinet, is now recognized and appreciated by the public. My lectures on the subject across Europe, the USA, Latin America, and South Africa have revealed a growing interest in the genre; however, there remains a scarcity of literature on the topic. Consequently, it was essential to translate the book into English and Spanish and to include as much new information and research as possible.
