Following the historical precedent of Bach, Chopin, Kabalevsky, and others, Elvina Pearce composed a set of preludes, either major or minor, for each white key. Each prelude creates one main mood and is usually made of one primary musical gesture such as broken chords, five-finger patterns, or scale passages.
