Ita Wegman, a dose pupil of Rudolf Steiner, was chosen by him in 1923 to be part of the original Executive Council of the newly founded Anthroposophical Society, along with Marie Steiner, Guenther Wachsmuth, Albert Steffen, and Elizabeth Vreede.
