Více o knize
Religious art, Rococo furniture, iPod®: the collection of the Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt am Main is unique. Founded in 1877 by the Mitteldeutscher Kunstgewerbeverein (Central German Craftsmen’s Association), the museum of arts and crafts is dedicated to the collection and conservation of and research into aesthetic design in the everyday world, spanning different time periods and geographical regions. The inventories list more than 70,000 objects from all over the world. Many of them are exhibited in “period rooms”, which present the objects in their historical contexts. The new museum guide, or “museum notebook”, also stands out for its design: a personal, handy companion, it guides the visitor through the individual collections, introducing particularly interesting pieces and also providing space in which to write down personal observations, notes and thoughts.
