Security, risk, and compliance are critical in enterprise modeling. An analysis of banking scenarios reveals that current "best practices" relying on informal techniques are inadequate and should be replaced with formal approaches. This thesis proposes visual enterprise models using algebraic graph and model transformation, focusing on two key areas: (1) Behavior Analysis and Optimization of Visual Enterprise Process Models, and (2) Conformance Analysis of Enterprise Process and Service Models. The first area is addressed through new concepts in behavior analysis of visual languages, particularly concerning permutation equivalence of graph transformations based on Petri nets. The second area introduces model transformations with triple graph grammars, yielding new insights for automated integration and conformance checks between models. These advancements in graph and model transformation are framed within M-adhesive transformation systems, applicable to various high-level replacement systems beyond enterprise modeling. Additionally, the AGT-M tool offers automated support for simulation, analysis, and optimization across multiple case studies, enhancing the practical application of these formal methods in real-world scenarios.
