The F[ontes] E[pigraphici] R[eligionum] C[elticarum] An[tiquarum] Project of the Austrian Academy of Sciences has been analysing relevant inscriptions since 1998. These will be published monographically by provinces, and preliminary results are already presented and discussed at workshops. The eleven lectures given at Trier have been arranged in a geographical order [Germanic and Gaulish provinces, Iberian Peninsula, Danube region, Dalmatia] and supplemented by a foreword, a list of authors, and a source index. The topics considered are some thoughts on worship in the Gaulish-Germanic provinces, the Germanic, Celtic or Roman origin of Hercules Saxanus, dedications to Sucellus and Silvanus, the god Segomo and his votaries, gods with indigenous names and their worshippers amongst the Voconces, the Gallo-Roman goddesses of Gallia Belgica and their dedicants, the Celtic legacy in the Portugese territory, the deities of the Cantabri, Celto-Roman and other divine names in north-western Spain, Apollini Granno as an explicatory byname formula or an equation of gods, and Celtic deities in Roman Dalmatia.
