A combined hybrid and integral approach for aeroacoustics simulations

A combined approach for computational aeroacoustics simulations in the low Mach number regime is investigated. The methodology consists of a fully discretized hybrid approach that is augmented by an integral approach. A flexible forward time approach and a two dimensional model for the integral part of the method are introduced. The combined approach is verified using academic and simple test cases. The verified approach is then employed to simulate the acoustic radiation of a finite wall-mounted cylinder.
