Více o knize
The German 8 cm Granatwerfer 34 was a mortar which was used throughout the entire Second World War. With around 70,000 units produced, it was the basis of heavy infantry weapons. Due to its long service life it was improved several times, up to a completely new model 34/1, which was launched at the end of 1944. The ammunition and accessories were also subject to an ongoing modification process, which on the one hand served the purpose of technical improvement, but on the other hand towards the end of the war aimed at material savings and decomplication. For the first time, the author presents a complete technical-historical picture of this weapon as never seen before. In addition to the development and design variants of the 8 cm Granatwerfer 34, the accessories, the ammunition and its packaging are described in detail, together with numerous illustrations. An abundance of previously unpublished photos, reproductions from official regulations and images of original objects give the reader an incomparable insight into a historical chapter of weapon technology.
