Více o knize

Erich Weger-Wladimir, born on June 20, 1935, in Boscha Wola, Wladimir, and passed away on December 2, 2015, in Artesa de Lleida, Catalunya, pursued his artistic education at the School for Large-Scale Painting and Graphics in Berlin. He studied under Karl Schmidt-Rottluff at the HfBK in Berlin and received a scholarship for Paris. With over 50 years of progressive and aggressive expressionistic work, his portfolio includes meditations on landscapes and figurative representations in various mediums such as oil, watercolor, ink, varnish, charcoal, woodcut, and large-scale painting. His artistic journey spans Germany, Scandinavia, Spain, Catalonia, Ukraine, Russia, India, and Iraq, exploring themes of childhood, war, expulsion, and the contrasting landscapes of the North and South. His work features portraits that balance real expressionism with light and shadow, employing a palette of ochre and cobalt blue. With more than 2,000 paintings and 5,000 watercolors and drawings, Weger-Wladimir viewed nature as the ultimate master of perfection. His art serves both as a means of creative meditation and political intervention, emphasizing its relevance today. He was a freelance artist in Berlin and Catalonia and also taught at institutions in both locations.
