Rewalked and updated in 2017, Walks Western Isles features 34 walks, and includes walks on every island in the Outer Hebrides - from Lewis to Vatersay - which can be reached by public transport. Each of the islands has its own unique character and the landscapes are rich and varied - from empty moorlands and rugged hills to long, unspoilt sandy beaches. Walks range from 1 mile to 12.5 miles (1.5-20km) and Callanish Standing Stones, An Cliseam, coastal walks on Barra and a tour of northern Eriskay. Part of a popular series of A6 pocket walking guides which describe routes which are suitable for walkers of all abilities and to suit all tastes. Route descriptions are accompanied by 2-colour sketch maps.
