Exploring Araucanian cultural development, this volume utilizes historical, ethnographic, and archaeological records to analyze their resilience against foreign influences in south-central Chile. Through the lens of Resilience Theory, it reveals how the Araucanians adapted to change by integrating select aspects of Spanish culture while maintaining their independence for over 350 years.
