This title presents a collection of images of this unpretentious close-knit former shale oil mining town located between Linlithgow and Kirkliston and within a shout of the Forth Bridge. Included are images of the oil works and miners, rows, pigeon lofts and football teams, school groups and shops together with a liberal sprinkling of other views of the town as it used to be.
