From Belfast to Hong Kong is the light-hearted tale of a Belfast boy growing up in the fifties and sixties. McCann tells his tales with a sense of honesty, truth, compassion and above all the ultimate sense of humour he carries with him at all times. Eventually he leaves the troubled times of Belfast behind, serving for 24 years with the Irish Guard. His is a tongue-in-cheek tale of shenanigans from his earliest memory in Belfast, to his arrival in Hong Kong with those Irish Guardsmen.
