The narrative centers on two sisters, Linno and Anju, whose lives are shaped by dreams of America and the complexities of familial loyalty. Linno, an artist coping with a childhood injury, contrasts with her academically gifted sister, Anju, who secures a scholarship to New York but betrays Linno in the process.
