A Guiding Star

After her husband is killed in a car accident that has left her disabled, Shelley returns to her parents' farm in the Scottish Highlands with her son Dannie. Then a stray Golden Retriever enters their lives, to be named Star. Abandoned to the wild, it becomes apparent that Star must once have been a loved pet, for she displays unusual talents.
