Heroes

Set in a military hospital, three World War I veterans navigate their days filled with humor and nostalgia as they reminisce about past battles and their current ailments. Henri struggles with a gammy leg, Gustave faces agoraphobia, and Philippe is affected by shrapnel in his brain. Their friendship is tested when Gustave proposes an escape plan, igniting dreams of freedom beyond the cemetery. The play explores themes of camaraderie, the longing for liberation, and the bittersweet nature of their existence.
