Louis Bouyer, one of the most gifted and internationally renowned theologians of our time, explores the importance of mystery and mysticism in the Christian tradition. He first shows how myth and mystery, as understood and practiced by pagan, Hellenistic and classical cults, gave way through the ages to Christian mysticism and spirituality.
