Twenty-six stories from a spectrum of Saudi women, selected on the basis of the fulfillment of at least one of three criteria: good story telling, making a social point, or being a well-known work by a significant author. Issues touched on in the stories include tribalism, adultery, polygyny, male dominance, professional women, communication and honesty in marriage, and the Arabic story telling tradition of which Shahrazad and her Arabian nights are probably the most familiar example.
