Correction and Explanation of Grammatical Errors

Exploring the impact of error correction in language learning, this research paper examines how addressing grammatical mistakes influences students' written performance and their attitudes towards error treatment. Conducted at the American University of Armenia, the study involved two groups: a focus group and a comparison group. Data was gathered through pretests, writing assignments, posttests, and a questionnaire. Findings indicated a significant improvement in error rates between pretests and posttests, with most students appreciating the correction and explanation of their errors.
