Written between 1993 and 2000, this collection features stories that explore various themes and characters, showcasing the author's range and creativity. Notably, two stories have been adapted for the stage, highlighting their narrative strength and appeal. "The Good Analyst" was performed at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre in 2010, while "Bridie Murphy of Mullingar" was staged as "Finchley Road" at the LOST Theatre in 2012, demonstrating the stories' successful transition from page to performance.
