Love at Five Thousand Feet

Set in Saplingville, Georgia, the story follows Dottie Lester, who relocates there with her alcoholic father after her mother's death. Initially longing to escape to her aunt's home in Macon, Dottie's plans shift when she falls for a charming pilot. Their budding romance complicates her feelings, especially as he dreams of leaving their small town for a commercial airline career, forcing Dottie to confront her own desires and the challenges of love in a small community.
