Aama in America

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayas, the story follows Aama, an elderly woman from a small Nepalese village, who forms a bond with American Peace Corps worker Broughton Coburn in 1974. Years later, at the age of eighty-four, she embarks on a challenging journey to visit him, a trip deemed necessary by village priests for her to earn spiritual merit. This narrative explores themes of friendship, cultural exchange, and the significance of tradition in the face of life's challenges.
