Dynamics of Conflict

The author introduces a novel dataset comprising sub-daily information from more than thirty countries involved in seven civil wars. This data is utilized to evaluate two theoretical frameworks of conflict: the predator-prey model and the competing species model. By analyzing these models, the book aims to provide fresh insights into the dynamics of civil wars and the interactions between opposing groups.
