Their perilous journey across Europe leads them to confront not only Nazi agents but also those from Churchill and the Vatican. As tensions escalate and danger looms, the mission turns deadly when Schwerin is shot in Rome, leaving Gruenwald questioning their survival and the fate of the Kaballah.
