Lament for the Valley: Violin and Piano

The composition, created for acclaimed violinist Joo Yeon Sir, showcases a passacaglia structure that evolves from a mournful opening into a passionate display of advanced techniques, including double stops and pizzicato, before concluding peacefully. First performed at London's Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, it later became part of Cantata Memoria, honoring the victims of the 1966 Aberfan tragedy.
