Focusing on the analysis of aphasia, this work synthesizes ten years of research from the Institute for Aphasia and Stroke in Norway, encompassing data from 249 patients. It introduces a comprehensive framework for understanding language functions and employs an operationalized classification system for research. The author argues that aphasia reflects a multidimensional brain disturbance, exploring its connections to neuropsychological disorders such as memory and visuospatial abilities, while also examining the condition's variations over time.
