Exploring the perspectives of secondary school mathematics teachers, this study investigates their views and usage of mathematical manipulatives in teaching. Despite the recognized benefits of manipulatives in K-12 curricula, research indicates a significant gap in their application among secondary educators. Through semi-structured interviews with six teachers, the research aims to uncover the reasons behind their hesitance, including potential gaps in mathematical knowledge and beliefs about the effectiveness of manipulatives in enhancing student learning.
