Ralph Waldo Trine, born in 1866 in Illinois, was a scholar with a keen insight into social and economic issues, recognized for his award-winning essay on education and crime prevention. He pursued higher education at various institutions, including Knox College and Johns Hopkins University. Trine worked as a correspondent for The Boston Daily Evening Transcript while embracing a simple life in a cabin near a pine grove. He married Grace Hyde, an accomplished author and poet, and they actively participated in metaphysical seminars in New York.
