The Bride of Osiris

In an underground city beneath Chicago, Doris Lee is kidnapped to marry Mezzar Haskin, who rules as Osiris. Her friends, Alan Buell and Dan Rafferty, embark on a rescue mission but are captured and brought before Osiris for trial. While Rafferty becomes an electrician, Buell faces a dire fate as he is selected to impersonate Osiris N during the Festival of Re, where he is to be executed. The story intertwines themes of bravery, deception, and the struggle for freedom in a fantastical setting.
