The book explores the impact of Task-based Instruction (TBI) versus Teacher-fronted Instruction (TFI) on intermediate and advanced learners' understanding of congruent and non-congruent collocations. It highlights the challenges of learning collocations that lack direct equivalents in the learners' native language. The findings reveal that while both instructional methods are beneficial, advanced learners favor TBI, whereas intermediate learners show a preference for TFI. This study underscores the importance of collocations in language acquisition and the varying needs of different learner levels.
