Silverado Beckoning

Set in 1885 Charleston, South Carolina, the story follows twenty-two-year-old Kate Bradford as she grapples with loneliness and financial struggles after her father's death. While teaching piano provides some income, her situation deteriorates when her unwelcome landlord, Homer Barnes, begins to make inappropriate advances, adding to her challenges and sense of isolation.
