The floriculture sector in Nagaland has significantly boosted the state's economy, providing income and employment opportunities, particularly for homemakers and unemployed youth. A study conducted in Dimapur and Kohima during the 2014-2015 agricultural year assessed the production and marketing of cut flowers among 75 growers, focusing on varieties like Alstroemeria, Lilium, and Orchid. Findings revealed a literate population with a net return of Rs 1,82,782 per acre, highlighting the sector's profitability and potential for sustainable livelihoods.
