The Lark's Lament

Set in 1204 A.D., the narrative follows Theophilos and Claudia, jesters from the Fools' Guild, as they seek aid from Folquet, a former guild member turned Cistercian abbot, amidst an attack by Pope Innocent III. Their mission takes a dark turn when a monk is brutally murdered in the abbey, leaving behind a chilling message scrawled in blood. The intertwining of humor, intrigue, and mystery unfolds as the jesters navigate the treacherous landscape of faith and betrayal.
