Encounters with a Wiccan, Santero, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Protestant, and a former executioner challenge their beliefs and creativity. Amidst these chaotic meetings and the influence of their eccentric roommate Mabel, the protagonist questions the nature of their relationships and the feasibility of reinventing the Bible, all while navigating the pressures imposed by Mark's provocative presence.
